Birth

Leonard C. Sant (Leonard C. Saut) was born in Knox (or Sterling, Cayuga Co., NY) on Feb. 14, 1828, the son of Christian Sant III (1798 - 1873) and Sarah Hunting Sant (1798 - 1869). He was the grandson of Christian Sand (Sant) Jr. (1768 – 1843) and Eve (Eva) Tsee Zeh (1774 – 1854). His siblings were:[1]

  • Ellen Sand (Sant)
  • Peter Sand (Sant) (1830 – 1851)

(Note: A Christian Sant was born in 1798 in Knox, NY, but BerneHistory.org gives no spouse or children.)

Leonard died on August 10, 1886 and is buried at Springbrook Cemetery, Sterling, Cayuga Co., NY. Julia died in 1910 and is buried beside him.
