Dan Lee was born in Rensselaerville, N.Y. on April 5, 1923, the son of the late Oscar and Mae (Ingraham) Lee. His brothers and sister were:

Military

Mr. Lee served in the United States Army during World War II and received the American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of the Greenville American Legion Post 291.

Obituary

Dan Lee Dan Lee of Greenville, a farmer at heart, worked in Voorheesville as a mechanic for Albany County. He died at the Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, N.Y. on Sept 4, 2009. He was 86. He was born in Rensselaerville, N.Y. on April 5, 1923, the son of the late Oscar and Mae (Ingraham) Lee. Mr. Lee served in the United States Army during World War II and received the American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of the Greenville American Legion Post 291. “He loved farming, his animals, bowling, watching airplanes and most of all playing with his grandchildren,” his family wrote in a tribute. Dan was also an avid fan of the Forty Niners.” His wife, Margaret (Henion) Lee, died before him as did a grandson, James Stewart and three sisters — Esther, Frances, and Gladys. He is survived by his seven children: Edward Lee and his wife, Candace, of Coxsackie; William Lee and his wife, René, of Coxsackie; Jamie Lee and his wife, Lisa, of Greenville; Daniel Lee and his wife, Andreanna, of Greenville; Marlene Brashears and her husband, Scott, of Catskill; Doraine Bushnell, and her husband, Jim, of Ravena; and Robin Frechette and her husband, David, of Greenville. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; four brothers, John Lee and his wife, Vivian, Ken Lee and his wife, Charlene, Benny Lee and his wife, Shirley, and Arlington Lee and his wife, Dorothy; two sisters, Mary Wilsey, and Rita VanKuren and her husband, Joel, and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be Friday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. at the High Point Cemetery located on Old Stage Road above Altamont. Arrangements are by the Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville.
