Birth

John was born about 1915 in St. Louis, Missouri to John Kropp and Margaret Muller.

Marriage and Children

Mr. Kropp married Marjorie Gillespie and had two daughters and two sons. The daughters are Janet Lee and Sandra Kropp; the two sons are Dennis and Kenneth Kropp.

Occupation

Mr. Kropp was employed by the Duffy Mott Co. in Voorheesville for many years prior to working in the maintenance department of Eastern Tablet in Albany. He retired in 1977.

Military Service

He served in the Army in World War II.

Death

John died Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at the Veteran's Hospital in Albany, New York.

Obituary BERNE -- John Kropp, 85, died Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at the Veteran's Hospital in Albany. Born in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Muller Kropp. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. Mr. Kropp was employed by the Duffy Mott Co. in Voorheesville for many years prior to working in the maintenance department of Eastern Tablet in Albany. He retired in 1977. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby. Mr. Kropp is survived by his wife, Marjorie Gillespie Kropp; his daughter, Sandra Hennessy of Greenville, NC; two sons, Dennis Kropp of Ravena and Kenneth Kropp of Gilmanton, NH. He was predeceased by a daughter, Janet Lee Kropp. He was the brother of Elizabeth Blodgett of Westerlo and the late Suzanne Knapp and Margaret Way. His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday morning at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, 9 Voorheesville Ave., Voorheesville.
