Birth

Harrison Kneiskern was from Berne.[1] Harrison was born 23 Apr 1840 and was baptized 10 July 1841 in the Reformed Dutch Church of the Beaver Dam.[2] He was a son of Jacob Kniskern and Catherine Haverly.[3]

Marriage & Children

Harrison married at about 1872, Ida DeForest who was born at about 1853. They had the following known children:

  • Blanche Kniskern

He was a teacher. After his marriage, when he lived in Albany, he was a grocer.

Death

Harrison died on November 5,1911.[6] It is presumed that his death took place in the City of Albany where he lived all of his married life.

Previously provided, but incorrect for this soldier

(This Harrison Kniskern was born in Schoharie County, a son of William Kniskern and Sarah Shafer.)
Harrison married Malinda Gates about 1866 or 1867. They had one child, Fred, born 1866, [4] It appears Fred died in his youth as he is not listed in the 1870 Federal Census. The 1900 Federal Census states Harrison and Malinda were married for 33 years by 1900. Death Franklinton Cemetery, Franklinton, New York. Kniskern, Harrison, 18th Penn.
