James was born in Medusa, NY on January 3, 1847, a son of John Akely and Mary A. Lampkin

Death

James died on December 9, 1926 and his wife, Francis in 1947. Both are buried at the Cairo Cemetery in Cairo, Greene Co., NY. Two of their children are buried there beside them.
