Birth

Ira Palmer, son of Seymour Palmer and Freelove Wilcox (1801) was born on August 17, 1812 at Westerlo.

Occupation

He was a farmer for all of his life.

Marriage and Children

At about 1834, Ira married Charlotte Maria Weisgerber who was born on 18 Oct 1818 in Berne, a daughter of Jacob Weisgerber born in Schoharie, and Mariah Ecker also born in Schoharie.

Life

The family lived in Berne and Westerlo before Ira and his wife Charlotte Maria Weisgerber moved to Binghamton, Broome County, NY at about the time of the Civil War.

Death

Charlotte died on July 5, 1878 and Ira died on August 23, 1887 at Binghamton, Broome Co., NY. Both are buried at the Dunham Hill Cemetery, Castle Creek, Broome Co., NY
