On November 4, 1783 at the Schoharie Lutheran Church, he married Elizabeth Ecker who was born in Schoharie on July 1, 1763, a daughter of Nicholas Ecker and Gertrude Young. Jacob and Elizabeth had the following known children:

  • Jacob Haverly b. October 23, 1784, married Catherine Salsburg
  • Gartraut Haverly b. December 4, 1785 was not mentioned in her father's will
  • Christian I. (Christjohn) Haverly b. May 8, 1787, married Hannah Hochstrasser
  • John J. Haverlyb. August 28, 1788, married Maria Eliza Dietz
  • Elizabeth Haverly b. September 18, 1792, married John Saddlemire
  • Peter Haverly b. April 17, 1798, married Elizabeth Wolford
  • Maria Haverly b. March 20, 1810, married Jeremiah Hawver

Death

Elizabeth died on January 1, 1827 and Jacob died in Knox between May 19, 1828 and October 15, 1829.
