ELSIE MEGAS

ALBANY — Services were held June 2 (1989) for Mrs. Elsie Haluska Megas, 71, of New Scotland Avenue, who died May 30 (1989) at the Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Union, N.J., Mrs. Megas lived in Albany for most of her life. For more-than 40 years, she was a self-employed beautician in Albany.

Mrs. Megas was a member of Our Lady of Angels Church. Her husband, William J. Megas, died in 1982.

Survivors include four daughters, Diane L. Williams Of Rensselaer, and Iona Nowak, Martha Megas and Angela Megas Wattenberg, all of Albany, a son, John Megas of Schenectady; four sisters, Martha Garry and Emily Chase, both of East Berne, Dorothy Robinson of Voorheesville and Helen Crooks of Utica; four brothers, John Haluska of Milton (Saratoga Co.), Charles Haluska of East Berne, and Joseph Haluska and Frank Haluska, both of Loudonville; and two granddaughters.

The services were at Zwaek and Sons Funeral Home and Our Lady of Angels Church, Central Avenue, where a Mass of Christian burial was celebrated.

Burial was in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
