William J. Hallenbeck, 89, of Thompsons Lake, died at his home early Sunday after a long illness. Born in Van Wie's Point, he was a dairy farmer for many years at Thompson's Lake until his retirement several years ago, when he moved to Altamont.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harrison Salisbury; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren,. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning in the Applebee Funeral Home, Delmar. Rev. Donald Boyce of the Westerlo Reformed church officiated. Burial was in Mount Pleasant cemetery, New Salem.
