Mrs. Harold W. Vadney, Sr., 63. of Feura Bush, died Sunday at St. Peter's hospital, Albany, after a short illness. Born Mildred Hallenbeck in Colonie, she lived in Albany 10 years before moving to Feura Bush 12 years ago. She was employed many years at a department store. She leaves her husband and four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Martin of Westmere, Mrs. Joan Domanico of Ravena, Mrs. Florence Rossi of Guilderland and Mrs. Elizabeth Mudge of Slingerlands,- three sons, Harold Wr. of Selkirk; Robert of Schenectady and Richard of Guilderland; two sisters, Mrs. Gladvs Noveck of Bennington, Vt, and Mrs. Bessie Gotha (wife of '''William L. Gotha''') of [[b:Berne|Berne]]; and 21 grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday at the Applebee Funeral Home. Delmar. Burial was in Jerusalem cemetery, Feura Bush.

When he retired from his musical groups and iron work business in Albany, he and Mrs. Gotha moved the Berne where they made many friends. He continued to do iron work in the area and they conducted a boarding home for elderly women at the home on Main St.

Death

William Gotha died Sunday morning, May 26, (1974) at Fairfax, Va.

Berne

WILLIAM L. GOTHA

William L. Gotha of 19B Sheridan Village, Schenectady, husband of the late Bessie Hallenbeck, died Sunday morning, May 26, (1974) at Fairfax, Va.

When he retired from his musical groups and iron work business in Albany, he and Mrs. Gotha moved the Berne where they made many friends. He continued to do iron work in the area and they conducted a boarding home for elderly women at the home on Main St. They were both faithful members of St. Paul's Lutheran church where he sanf in the choir ansd served as custodian and she was active in the Sunday church school and Lutheran Church WOmen groups. Later they moved to a small apartment in Schenectady and Mrs. Gotha passe away last February.

Bill was visiting his daughter in Virginia when he was taken ill in the middle of the week and died in the hospital Sunday morning.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Marjorie) Nasholds of Fairfax, Va., and Mrs. Charles (Millicent) Boni of Colonie; two sons, William L. Gotha, Jr., of West Springfield, Mass., and Russell Gotha of Chicago, Ill. He is also the brother of Mrs. Helen Mill, Mrs. Hazel Ecker and Mrs. William Haenlein, and is also survived by 13 grandchildren and eight great-granschildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Fred. L. Dascher Jr. Funeral Home, Albany, THursday morning with Rev. Kenneth O. Latal officiating. Interment was in Memory's Garden, COlonie.

Sympathy to the family is extended by the many friends here who are grateful to God for the lives of this wonderful couple and join them in mourning their passing.
