Birth

Jabish Frink was born at Stonington, New London County, CT, on August 4, 1760, a son of Jabish Frink and Elizabeth Hobart. His name appears as Jabesh Frink and Jabez Frink. His siblings were:

Military

Jabish enlisted at Stonington, CT as a private in Captain Sheffield’s Company, Colonel Ledyard’s Regiment at about March 1, 1780 and served there until June 27, 1780. He then enlisted in Colonel Starr’s Regiment and was discharged on December 9, 1780. On January 1, 1781 he again enlisted as a private in Colonel Smith’s Connecticut Regiment and served 2 months.

Marriage & Children

In 1782 he married Eunice Stark who was born on December 12, 1765. They left Stonington and moved to Groton, CT when they married. Their known children were:

  • Nancy Frink b. January 23, 1788 at Groton, CT married Ephraim Bigelow
  • Lucy Frink b. 1789 at Groton, CT married Jehial White
  • Eunice Frink b. about 1795 married James R. Slater

The family left Groton, CT and moved to Berne, NY in 1797

  • Daniel Frink b. at about 1800 at Berne, NY married Elizabeth ______. He died on November 18, 1847[2]. He willed everything to his wife and sisters with no mention of children.

Death

Eunice died on January 12, 1839. [2]Jabish died on July 12, 1839.
