Birth

Lodewick Fetterly (a.k.a. Ludwig Fatherly) was born in the Knox area, a son of Philip Fetterly & Anna Margarita Schoein.

Occupation

Unknown, although he was probably a farmer like many others in the Knox area.

Military

He served in a company of riflemen after the Revolution War (per Albany Committee of Safety records).

Marriage & Children

Lodewick married Susan Hallenbeck, by whom he had Margritta Fetterly, b. 1801 in Guilderland, N.Y. (per Helderbereg Lutheran Church records). He later married the widow, Elizabeth Coombs, by whom he had Judy, b. 1806 and Philip Featherly, b. 04 DEC 1810 in Guilderland Center, Albany, New York (per search of records at www.familysearch.org). Lodewick probably had other children by both wives, but their names are unknown at this time.

Death

When he died is not definitely known, but it could have been between 1820-1840.
