Fetterly, Peter
Birth
ca. 1746 in Knox, son of Philip Fetterly and Anna Margarita Schoein.
Military Service
Peter Fetterly was a Loyalist and served the English Crown during the Revolution. Peter was in The King's Royal Regiment of NY and Butler's Rangers in Peter Ten Broeck's company (see http://www.royalprovincial.com/military/musters/brangers/brtenb1.htm). He was taken into custody for being a torie sympathizer according to the "Minutes of the Albany Committee of Correspondence, 1775-1778," edited by James Sullivan and published by New York State in two volumes in 1923.
Marriage and Children
After the Revolution, Peter returned to NY in 1783 and married Hannah Anna Bassler (abt. 1760-1840) at Schoharie.

Later life
Peter and his wife Hannah removed to Williamsburg, Ontario, Canada where Peter received land as a United Empire Loyalist.
Death
