Zebebadia Dyer received a common school education in that town (Berne) and in Albany, learned the trade of cigarmaker and was graduated from the Albany State Normal School in 1882. He then taught school in Berne and Guilderland and meantime read law in Albany with John B. O'Malley, and was graduated from the Albany Law School and admitted to the bar in 1885.
