Gladys Teter

PRESTONHIOLLOW—Gladys Teter, 77, of Preston Hollow, died May 7 at the Columbia Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 22,1920, in Broome (Schoharie Co.), daughter of the late Bayard and Mabel (Sanford) Cooke. Mrs, Teter was a former volunteer for the Red Cross and was also a clerk at the Preston Hollow Post Office for a number of years.

Surviving are a son, Wayne Teter of Preston Hollow.; two daughters: Susan Weaver of Cornwallville (Schoharie Co.), and Bonda Brink of Durham (Greene Co.); six grandchildren - Stacy Teter, Thomas Buscher, Amy Acker, Lori Conners, Sherri Ormsbee, and Brian Brink; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth Cooke of Medusa.

Her husband, Ralph E. Teter, died in 1987. Two sisters, Theresa Bates and Betty Marcinakj are also deceased.

Funeral services were Monday from the Preston Hollow Baptist Church in Preston Hollow.

Arrangements were by the Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville:

Interment was in the Brookside Cemetery.
