EAST BERNE Robert W. Clow, Sr. 80, former Speigletown resident, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at his residence. Born in Stockport, N.Y., he was the son of the late Dewitt Clow and Margaret Ryant Clow and husband of the late Lynne Chase Clow. Raised and educated in Albany, he was a graduate of Albany High School, class of 1949 and Royal Barber School, Schenectady in 1953. Bob was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He owned and operated Bob's Barber Shop and Bob's Cut & Style on Congress Street, Troy for over 30 years. He was a member of the 105th military police at Troy Armory, Troy BPOE Lodge #141 and the Speigletown District Volunteer Fire Co. Survivors include two sons, Daniel Clow (Penny) of Speigletown and John Clow (Delene) of Waterford; a daughter, Lynne Dolan (Bret) of Troy; eight grandchildren, Robert Clow, III, John, Shawn, Breeanna, Ryan and Colin Clow, Bret and Britney Dolan; one great-granddaughter; a brother, Charles Clow of Albany; companion, Virginia Mann of East Berne and her children, Lisa Mann (Pat Hannah) and Jim (Mary) Mann. Bob was predeceased by his son, Robert W. Clow, Jr. in 2005, a brother, Edward Clow.
