Birth

Philip was born at about 1783 in New York, a son of Sylvester Chrysler and Maria Schram.

Marriage & Children

On December 22, 1804 at the Beaverdam Reformed Church, he married Maritje Sixbee (her surname also spelled Sigsby and Sigsbee) who was born on April 12, 1782 in Albany County, a daughter of Nicholas Sixbee and Cornelia Cooper. Philip and Maria had the following children:

  • Sylvester Chrysler born June 6, 1807 in Albany County, NY
  • Evert Chrysler born May 13, 1809 in Albany County, died in 1887 at Broome County, NY
  • Maria Chrysler born January 2, 1811 in Albany County, married Daniel Sharp
  • Nicholas Chrysler born October 2, 1812 in Albany County, married Catherine Wolford
  • Abraham Chrysler born August 4, 1814 in Berne
  • Johan George Chrysler born September 26, 1816 in Berne. His daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Chrysler lived with her grandfather from about age 10 until his death.
  • Christian Chrysler born April 10, 1819 in Berne
  • William Henry Chrysler born January 2, 1825 in Berne, married Lucy Siple

Death

Maria died in December of 1844 in Knox. Philip died shortly after January 3, 1856 in Knox.
