Charles Tompkins was born in Westerlo on May 30, 1839, a son of Stephen S. and Esther Tompkins[1]
Marriage & Children
At about 1859 he married Mary Elizabeth _____ and moved to Granby, Oswego County, NY. Charles and Mary had a daughter, Sarah Tompkins who was born at about 1860.
Mary died in 1866. Charles married Sarah M. Oakley who was born in 1842, on December 5, 1867 at Granby and had the following children:

Death
Charles' first wife, Mary Elizabeth died in 1866 and was buried in the family plot at Glen Castle Cemetery. Sarah, his second wife, died on July 7, 1920 at Taft, Orange Co., Florida and was buried there. Charles died on December 15, 1926 and was buried beside his first wife at the Glen Castle Cemetery at Binghamton.
