He worked for the General Electric Co. in Schenectady for many years and later for the NYS Dept. of Transportation in Voorheesville. He was a member of the Boyd Hilton VFW Post in Altamont. Mr. Bradt was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Ethel M. Bradt in 1999.

ALTAMONT -- George R. Bradt, died Friday, April 29, 2005 at the VA Medical Center in Albany, following a long illness.

George served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a prisoner of war in Germany.
