Louis A. Bellinger was born in Sharon Springs 31 JAN 1905[1] and lived there for several years before moving to Knox.

Louis Bellinger operated a farm on Witter Road for many years. He also worked for the state Department of Transportation as a laborer, and later for the Albany County Highway Department, from which he retired. After retirement, he worked part time at Thacher Park and for the town of Knox landfill.

Louis Bellinger married second Lillian E. Helligas (5 MAR 1916 - 31 MAY 2002 ). They had no known children.
Lillian Helligas was previously married to Louis Briggs. The children of Lillian Helligas and Louis Briggs were:[1]
- Richard Briggs - Richard Briggs of Glen
- Beverly Briggs - Beverly Shimer of Knox
- Evelyn Meridith Briggs - Evelyn Stevens of Berne - Evelyn married Gilbert Stevens, the son of Miner Stevens and Beatrice Bellinger. Miner Stevens was the son of Franklin Quay Stevens and Grace E. Batcher.

Louis A. Bellinger, 89, of Route 156 died Tuesday, February 15, 1904, in St. Clare's Hospital following a long illness.

LOUIS A. BELLINGER
KNOX — Louis A. Bellinger, 89, of Route 156 died Tuesday (February 15, 1994) in St. Clare's Hospital following a long illness.
He was born in Sharon Springs and lived there for several years before moving to Knox.
He operated a farm on Witter Road for many years. He also worked for the state Department of Transportation as a laborer, and later for the Albany County Highway Department, from which he retired. After retirement, he worked part time at Thacher Park and for the town of Knox landfill.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Helligas Bellinger, three sons — Louis J. Bellinger of Carlisle, Ronnie Kilmartin of Tulare, Calif., and Richard Briggs of Glen; three daughters — Patricia Burgan of Atlanta, Ga., Evelyn Stevens of Berne and Beverly Shimer of Knox; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m, Saturday at the Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main St., Altamont. Calling hours at the funeral home will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Spring burial will be in Knox Cemetery.
