BASSLER - At rest August 18, 1974, Clyde L. Bassler, Star Route, Altamont, N.Y, brother of Miss Catherine Bassler from Altamont, and the late Helen Saddlemire; Uncle of Marjorie Kane of Schenectady, Robert Saddlemire of Berne, Beatrice Rukat of Altamont and Doris Lott of Schoharie. Funeral services from the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, Thursday at 1:30 p..m Rev. Arthur Henne officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Berne.

Bussler, Star Route, Altamont, wife of Elwood Saddlemire, mother of Mrs William (Marjorie) Kane, Schenectady, Robert Saddlemire, of Berne, Mrs. Chester (Beatrice) Rukat, Altamont, and Mrs. Warren (Doris) Lott, Schoharie, sister of Clyde Bassler and Miss Catherine Bassler, both of Altamont; also survived by four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, from the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, with Rev. James D. Keller officiating. Interment at Woodlawn cemetery.

MRS. HELEN SADDLEMIRE Mrs Helen Saddlemre died suddenly last Saturday. She had been in ill health for some time. The wife of Elwood Saddlemire of Knox, she is also survived by three daughters, Mrs William Kane of Schenectady, Mrs Chester Rukat of Altamont and Mrs. Warren Lott of Schoharie, a son, Robert Saddlemire, Berne, a sister, Katherine Bassler; and a brother, Clyde Bassler, also four grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont on Tuesday, with Rev. James D. Keller officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn cemetery, Berne.

GEORGE BASSLER George Bassler died Wednesday (April 3, 1957) at his home between Berne and Knox. Although in failing health hs had been able to continue his usual duties until a few days before his death. Mr. Bassler was always and industrious farmer and a generous friend who enjoyed taking gifts from his garden and kitchen to friends. A sincere Christian, he was for many years an active member of the Berne Reformed church and served on the consistory. Later when the time of the service was changed he transferred to Berne Lutheran church and was in his usual place for worship the Sunday before his death. Mr. Bassler was the son of the late Cyrus Bassler and Jane Daring Bassler. His wife, the former Sabrina Kirkpatrick, died in 1954. He is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mjss Florence Kirkpatrick and Mrs. Margaret Bassler; two nephews, Howard Wright of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Clyde Bassler of Knox; six nieces, Miss Catherine Bassler and Mrs. Elwood Saddlemire, Knox; Mrs. Frank Wright, Berne; Mrs. Charles Abeel, Henrietta; Mrs. William Wallace, Albany, and Mrs. C. M. Phillips, Oakland, Calif.

Card of Thanks - The family of the late George D. Bassler wishes to thank all those who assisted, and for the many kindnesses shown at the time of his sickness and death; to Pastor Greene for his comforting words, Mr. Brunk for his efficient services, and Mr. Haas, who palyed the organ.
