Evert (or Everhardt M. or Eberhardt) Barckley was born in Guilderland, NY on September 23, 1791. He was the son of Michael Barckley (May 17, 1758 - March 20 1839) and Gertrude Zeh (April 14 1768 - March 19, 1850) [1]. His brothers and sisters were:

  • Catharina Barckley (1800 – 1881)[1]
  • Margaretha Barckley (1804 – )[1]

Occupation

Evert was a farmer and a member of the Reformed church.[2]

Marriage & Children

Evert Barckley married (Gitty) Gertrude Walderon (April 27, 1793 - March 28, 1864)[2] on September 23, 1810 at the Helderberg Reformed Church, New Salem, Albany Co., NY. Gertrude Walderon was the daughter of Henry Waldron (or Walderon)[1]. Their children were:

  • Mary Ann Barckley (1811 – )[1]
  • Nancy Barckley (1813 – )[1]
  • Henriatta Barckley (1815 – 1882)[1]
  • Henry Barckley (1816 – 1893)[1]

Gertrude Waldron married second Dr. Jonathan Johnson[2] (bef 1795 - 23 May 1860)[3] of Guilderland. Henry's half-brothers and half-sisters were:

  • Adeline Johnson(1818 - ) - Unmarried[2]
  • George Young Johnson (1820 - ) - married Ella Corbett[2]
  • Elizabeth Johnson (1822 - ) - unmarried[2]
  • Jane Ann Johnson (1824 - ) - unmarried[2]
