Obituary Arnold S. Gray, 65, died Sunday morning in St. Clare's hospital where he had been a patient the past 10 days of his long illness. Born in Schenectady, he was a clerk for Railway Express Co. for 32 years, retiring eight years ago. He was a veteran of World War II and moved from Schenectady with his family to West Berne and thence to Berne several years ago. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church of Berne and his pastor, Rev. Janice C. Jenson, conducted the funeral service from the Griswold Funeral Home last Wednesday. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park in Schenectady. Sincere sympathy is extended by many friends to the survivors, which include his wife, Mrs. Pauline (Paula) Fernet Gray; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Karen) Altmannsberger of McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey; a son, Glenn S. Gray, Berne; two sisters, Mrs. Ada MacFarlane and Mrs. Thelma Erckman of Schenectady; three grandchildren, Wendy Lou and John Harbour, and Sherri Joy Altmannsberger; also nephews and nieces, Richard Erckman of Webster, Ronald MacFarlane of Rochester, Linda Stacey of State College, Pennsylvania, Lisa Schoonmaker of Northfield, Wisconsin, Cynthia Mudd of Chino, California, and Melissa Jahne of Troy, and several cousins.
