Birth

Seymour W. Armstrong was born in Knox August 23, 1855, the son of James Armstrong and Catherine Ann Williams.

Occupation

He was warden at the Albany Jail in Albany, NY.

Marriage & Children

On December 25, 1877, Seymour married Augusta Olivia Allen (8/5/1851 - 2/5/1937), the daughter of Sylvester Allen and Sarah Bunzey. They had the following children:

  • Marshall Allen Armstrong (10/25/1878 - 6/21/1950, m. 12/6/1906 Louise Ruth Tegler of Albany)
  • Walter Edson Armstrong (4/9/1881 - 3/12/1980, m. Ada Elston, 1882-1942, m. Helen Humiston);
  • Leonard J. Armstrong (4/27/1887, m. Anna Knauf)

Death

Seymour died December 25,1909, and is buried in Knox Cemetery in Knox
