Birth
Sylvester Allen was b. January 7, 1818. He was the son of John P. Allen (b.9/24/1783,d. 4/2/1868) and Anna Eva Weidman (b. 6/8/1786, d. between 7/7/1821 - 1825) Sylvester's parents were married in 1806.
Occupation
Sylvester is listed as a carpenter and joiner, bee raiser and farmer, as well as Overseer of the Poor in 1875.
Marriage & Children
He married Sarah A. Bunzey, dau. of William Bunzey (b.@ 1788) and Amelia Brandt (b. @ 1794, d. 10/30/1870 in Knox). Sarah was b. 8/6/1816 and d. 9/29/1891 in Knox.

Death
Sylvester died September 20, 1898, in Albany, N.Y.. He was buried in Knox Cemetery in Knox.
