Birth

John Akely was born in Rensselaerville, NY on March 27, 1814, a son of John Akely, Sr. and Phebe Adriance.

Marriage & Children

John married Mary A. Lampkin at about 1845. They remained in Rensselaerville until sometime after the war, when they moved to Greene County, NY. John and Mary had the following known children:

  • Lewis Akely, died in 1895
  • Ezra Akely 1852-1901
  • James Akely
