Oscar Akely was born in Rensselaerville on January 6, 1841, a son of Leonard and Mary Akely [1] His family moved to Gilboa, Schoharie Co., NY sometime before 1860.

Death

Oscar died in 1908 and was buried at Gilboa in a cemetery that was removed for the dam in 1925.
