Birth

Judson C. LaPaugh was born on October 18, 1838[1] Oct. 1840[2] in Westerlo.[3] son of David LaPaugh and Polly Mary Vanleuven. His surname was also spelled La Paugh, Laupaugh and Laughpaugh.[4]

Marriage & Children

Judson married say 1877 Catherine. They lived in Rensselaerville and had three or more children:

  • Isabel LaPaugh b. ~1878[3]
  • Stanley LaPaugh b. Feb. 1881[2]
  • Maud LaPaugh b. Oct. 1882[2]

Catherine died before 1900[2]


Occupation

Judson was a farmer before he served in the Civil War.[4]. In 1880 he was a laborer,[3] and in 1900 a day laborer.[2]

He received a pension on February 12, 1884[5]
