John Allen was born on September 24, 1783, in Duanesburg, N.Y..

John was married twice. His first wife was a Weidman, and the second was Elizabeth Zeh. John had one son:

Death
He died in Knox on April 2, 1863, and is buried in Knox Cemetery.
