BRADT
In loving memory of our
Mom and Dad
Florence L. Bradt,
who entered eternal rest
March 1, 1986,and
Henry W. Bradt,
who passed away
March 30, 1964.
We cling to all of the memories
of happy days down here
and wish so much to have
them back and feel their
presence near.
But there comes a time
for all of us when our body says,
"I'm through. I've done
the very best I can."
Now the Lord, in His infinite
mercy, takes us
to Heaven above where we wait
for our friends and family
around His "throne of love."
May you always rest in peace,
Our love,
Sons, Arthur D. Bradt and
George R Bradt, and
Daughter, Gladys M. Liddle

Ethel M. Bradt

ALTAMONT — Ethel Proper Bradt, 69, died Monday at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany following a long illness.

Born Oct. 24, 1929 in Medusa, daughter of the late John and Iona Warner Proper, she lived in Berne for many years before moving to Altamont in 1948. She was a former member of the Helderberg Grange and St. John's Lutheran Church, and a member with her husband of the American Ex-Prisoners of War.

"The Ex-Prisoners of War, our slogan is, 'We exist to help those wno cannot help themselves,'" said her husband, George. "That's our motto."

It was one his wife lived out in her family and her neighborhood on Bozenkill Road. "She loved to take care of the sick," Mr. Bradt said. "She took care of five members who passed away in her own family." He said she also took care of members of his family, and neighbors on Bozenkill Road. "And whoever," he said.

In addition to George R. Bradt, her husband of 48 years, survivors include several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service was held this morning (Thursday) at the Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont. Burial was at Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Altamont Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 56, Altamont, NY 12009, or the American Cancer Society, 1450 Western Ave., Albany, 12203.
