Hamilton B. Bouck Obituary - Altamont Enterprise - July 19, 190

Mr. Hamilton Bouck, our most respected and best loved citizen, passed peacefully away on Sunday morning, aged 61 yeare. Mr. Bouck bad been ill for upwards of four weeks. He leaves a widow, four sons and four daughters. The funeral was hold from the M. E. church on Tuesday at 11 o'clock. Interment in the Gallupville cemetery.

Middleburg — Blacksmith; married; age 21 ; enlisted as bugler, August 6, 1862 ; served with the regiment until after the battle of Gettysburg, then detailed as nurse in Field Hospital for three months ; rejoined his regiment at Lookout Valley, and served continuously until the surrender of Lee; suffered sunstroke on the march from Raleigh to Washington ; transferred to Richmond and by boat to Alexandria, and reached his regiment at Bladensbnrg, Md.; discharged June 10, 1S65 ; Gallupville, N. Y. ; blacksmith ; married. Children, Friend, Elmer, Minnie, Isaac, Charles.
