Birth
Thomas was born in Stephentown, Rensselaer Co., NY on May 5, 1779 a son of Daniel Denison and Katherine Avery. [1]
Marriage & Children
On February 23, 1801 he married Mary “Polly” Crary who was born on February 26, 1779 at Groton, New London Co., CT, a daughter of Isaac Crary and Mary Gallup[1]. The known children of Thomas and Polly were:
- Thomas Crary Denison was born on September 24, 1802, married Gertrude “Charity” Shultes, died in 1848. [1]
- Mary “Molly” Denison was born April 30, 1804, married Ezra Orcutt, lived in Tioga County, NY. [1]
- Isaac Denison was born on July 21, 1806, married Mary Whiting Dibble, died May 22, 1877. [1]
- Catherine Denison was born March 27, 1809, married Nathan Earls. [1]
- Candace Dennison was born on July 14, 1811, married Ichabod Dibble. [1]
- Daniel Denison was born on May 21, 1814, married Eliza Almy. [1]
- Hannah Denison was born on December 11, 1815, no further information. [1]
- Jesse Wood Denison, Rev. was born on April 9, 1818, married Mary Briggs. [1]
Death
Thomas died on December 3, 1838 at Huntersland. Polly died on April 22, 1868 at Huntersland. Both were buried at Cook Cemetery in Huntersland. [1]
