Ismay W. Gaige
Mrs. Ismay Watson Gftige. a lifelong resident of Aftsmont died Monday, Oct -5, at the builderlaud Center Nursing Home after a long }llness. Bom April 1, 1896, at Mineral Springs, she was a daughter 'of t he late Frank and Hattie Ruland Watson of Cobleskill. Her. mother died when she was six, years old, and she came to Altamont to live with her grandmother, Mrs Wilber Whipple, Later she lived for many years with. Mr. and Mrs. Montford A. Sand of Main S t . Mrs. Gaige was a member of. St John's Lutheran church, and sang m the church choir for many years. She was also active in operettas, cantatas, and < other singing groups. * ' ' * Survivors, include three sons, Wayne Gaige t»£ Schenectady, Edward Gaige of ,Tobyhanna, Pa., and James«Gaige of Altamont; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Viva) Mattice of;Schenectady, 15 grandchildren arid three. great-gran^childreni She is also survived by several aunts and cousins.
