Johannes Bogardus was born in 1781, a son of Ephraim Bogardus (1751-1838) and Maria Huyck[1]

He married on January 30, 1803, Anna Dietz , born on or about October 27, 1754, a daughter of Adam H. Dietz, Jr. and Anna Bellinger[1] and had the following known children:

His life
He was a prominent man of the Town of Berne, and was one of the pioneers. He served as supervisor.
