Francis Hurst, Jr. was born in England about 1787, a son of Francis Hurst. [1]
Occupation
He grew to manhood in Albany and moved to the town of Knox where his father had provided him with a farm of 150 acres of land. [1]
Marriage & Children
He married Magdalene Keenholts, [1] born at about 1784, a daughter of Christopher[2] and Hannah Nead. [3] at about 1804, and had three sons and seven daughters[1]
Their children:
- Francis Joseph Jackson Hurst, born February 12, 1809, married Christina Nere[3]
- Ann Eliza Hurst, born about 1810, married Henry A. Livingston[3]
- Hester Hurst, born about 1810, married Jacob Bronk[3]
- Phoebe Hurst, born October 17, 1816, married Henry Warner[3]
- Permelia Hurst, born about 1817, married David Tygert[3]
- Hannah Hurst, born about 1818, married Elias Schermerhorn[3]
- Bernard Hurst, born at about 1819, married Rachael Ann Pitcher[3]

Death
