Birth

Avery was born October 12, 1857, in Voorheesville, NY. His parent were Cornelius Secor Warner and Jane Ann Relyea.

Occupation

Avery was a farmer, as well as a carpenter and builder (see attached business card). In 1900, Avery and his wife Rachel, son Charles and daughter Ivah were living in Niskayuna, Schenectady Co., NY and Avery was a full time carpenter, with his son Charles as his apprentice. In 1910, the census shows him in New Scotland on his own land, with his wife, his daughter and his father. He lists his occupation as full time farmer and his father as his farm laborer.

Marriage & Children

Avery married Rachel Smith on Christmas day in 1879 when he was was 22 years old and she was 20. They had three children:

Rachel passed on January 3, 1928. Avery remarried on June 8, 1935 to Effie C. Wright.

Death

Avery passed on January 5, 1948 and was laid out at the Brunk Funeral Home in Delmar.
