Chester W. Warner

BERNE — Chester W. Warner was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who worked in hotel management.

He died on Friday, April 6, 2012, after a long illness. He was 53.

Mr. Warner was born on Dec. 17, 1958, to Robert and Wilma Kelly Warner of East Berne.

He graduated from Berne-Knox-Westerlo High school in 1976, and the State University of New York at Cobleskill in 1979.

Mr. Warner went on to graduate from Florida International University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in 1982. He worked with several hotel management companies through 1995. He was last employed as a district manager with Canteen Vending, until he fell ill in 2001.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Warner is survived by his loving wife, Teri Delaney Warner.

He is also survived by two sons: Joshua Warner; and Michael Warner and his wife, Vanessa; and three grandsons: Keigan, Trei, and Chayse.

Also surviving are his sister, Nancy Warner of Champlain, N.Y.; his brother, Christopher Warner, and his wife, Marni, of East Berne; his nephew, Logan; and his goddaughter, Andrea.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday morning at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, in Schenectady, and was followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Church.

Burial will be private.

Mr. Warner’s family would like to thank Dr. David Herman, the staff of Community Hospice of Albany, and the staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, especially Kathy, Rita, Frances, Eileen, Vicki and Rita.
