Soldier Wins Trust Fund Of $50,000
A decree signed by Surrogate Rogan has ended more than two years litigation over a trust fund and authorized Sgt. Robert Cassidy, on furlough from military service in Italy, to receive nearly $50,000.
The trust fund was established by the will of Sergeant Cassidy's grandmother, Lucie R. Cassidy of Altamont. Life use of the income went to Sergeant Cassidy's father, Edward R. Cassidy, who died Oct. 8, 1942, in what was then occupied France. Sergeant Cassidy is the only child.
The decree settled and approved accounts of the National Commercial Bank and Trust Company as trustee.
