William Kuhar RENSSELAERVILLE—William Kuhar, a decorated World War II veteran and a welder, died a t St. Peter's Hospital in Albany on Thursday, Sept. 8. He was 84. Mr. Kuhar was born in Bridgeport, Conn, on May 7, 1921, son of the late John and Susan (Casper) KuhaMr. Kuhar was born in Bridgeport, Conn, on May 7, 1921, son of the late John and Susan (Casper) Kuhar. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, receiving the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Medal, the Philippines Liberation Medal, the American Theatre Medal, the Victory Medal, and the Bronze Star. Mr. Kuhar was retired from General Electric, where he had been a welder. He was a member of the Clark White American Legion Post

Department. Mr. Kuhar is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edith (VonLinden) Kuhar; his daughter/Jane.Coutant, arid her husband, Malcolm; his son, Michael Kuhar; his sister, Marie Bogue; his brother, John Kuhar Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

His two brothers James and Thomas Kuhar died before him.

A funeral service was held on Monday, Sept. 12, at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Rensselaerville. Interment was in the Rensselaerville Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Cunningham Funeral Home.
