Elias C. aka Charles E. was born in Knox at about 1844, a son of Jacob and Hester Bronk. By 1850 this family was living in Guilderland.

At about 1868 in Iowa, he married Alice ____ who was born in 1851 in Wisconsin. They had the following children:
