Obituary
Entered into rest on Monday, Sept. 18th, (1911) Kate, wife of Levinus Bassler, aged 69 years. Mrs. Bassler was a great sufferer for many months, and she eagerly anticipated the time of her release from the "weariness of the flesh." It was her happy fortune to receive the most devoted care from her son, Dr. Bassler and his wife, and from Mrs. Warren Hochstrasser, for many years as a daughter in the family. Mrs. Bassler was a kind neighbor, a helpful friend, capable and energetic in all matters that demanded her attention. She was a member of the Reformed church and manifested in her life a deep interest in all that pertained to its welfare and prosperity. The funeral was held at the family home Wednesday, Rev. A. A. Sego having charge of the service. Her husband survives her, also two sons, Sanford and Walter.
