Mildred Sowalski Creamer 73, formerly of Aracdia Avenue in McKownville, died Monday at the Albany County Nursing Home after a long illness.

Mildred Creamer McKOWNVILLE — Mildred Sowalski Creamer, 73, formerly of Aracdia Avenue, died Monday at the Albany County Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born in Troy, Mrs. Creamer was a claims processor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield during the 1960s and '70s. She also was a seamstress, professionally, but mainly for friends and family. "She made 90 percent of the clothes for the children," her husband, William J. Creamer, said. "People would bring her things, and she would fix them. She never charged for it, so she got out of it."
Mrs. Creamer and and her husband enjoyed camping in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Survivors include her husband, William J. Creamer of McKownville; a son, Michael Creamer of Guilderland; four daughters — Sandra Creamer ofWestmere, Sue Ogsbury of Guilderland, Donna Wallace of Knox, and Elaine Dingwall of Colonie; five sisters, Adeline Ridner of Rensselaer, Marion Haughton of Schodadk, Beverly Madonia of Menands, and Anna Orsano and Helen Webber, both of Guilderland; two brothers, Gus Sowalski of Guilderland and William Sowalski of Glenmont; 14 grandchildren; and 15 greatgrandchildren.
A service was held yesterday at the Frederick Funeral Home, Albany. Memorial contributions may be made to the Albany County Nursing Home, Albany-Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12205.
