Clyde was born in Albany, on June 5, 1944,[1] the son of the late LeRoy and Anna Martin.[2]

Marriage and Children

Clyde married Denise ______ and they had four sons: Ronald S., Anthony W., Michael L. and Keith D. Martin; and one daughter, Amanda A. Martin.[2]

Occupation

Mr. Martin worked for Callanan Industries as a foreman for over 30 years, retiring in 2000.[2]

Military Service

Clyde was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War.[2]

Death

Mr. Martin, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at his home in Knox, New York.[2]

Burial

Burial will be in Knox Cemetery on February 23, 2008.[2]

EAST BERNE Clyde J. Martin, 63, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at his home in Knox. Clyde was born in Albany, the son of the late LeRoy and Anna Martin. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. He worked for Callanan Industries as a foreman for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. He was also a member of the Laborer's Union Local #190. He was an avid golfer, Nascar fan and automobile enthusiast, who also enjoyed reading. Survivors include his wife, Denise Martin; four sons, Ronald S. (Betsy Williams) Martin of Gallupville, Anthony W. (Jill) Martin of Knox, Michael L. (Sheila) Martin of Knox and Keith D. (Lynda) Martin of West Sand Lake; one daughter, Amanda A. (Justin Maleszweski) Martin of Knox; nine grandchildren, Justin and Zachary Martin, Anthony, Corey and Sarah Martin, Delaney, Julianna and Dominick Martin and Isaiah Thomas; one sister, Joyce Adams; three brothers, Paul Martin, Raymond Martin and Douglas Martin and his mother-in-law, Joan (Angelo) Alleca. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by six siblings, Alice Denny, LeRoy Martin Jr., Evelyn Yowell, Robert Martin, Dorothy Boughton and Mary Martin. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Knox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to the National Audubon Society, Dept. W., 700 Broadway, New York, NY 10003.
