Mr. Shedina owned and operated a farm in the town of Knox for many years and was a charter member of the Knox Volunteer Fire Company and served as a commissioner for 20 years.
He was a member of the Gallupville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Whanda Gage Shedina; a daughter, JoAnn Corigliano and her husband, Jim, of Knox; a son, Wiley W. Shedina and his wife, Darlene, of Guilderland; six grandchildren, Nicole, Michelle, Justin, and Kendra, Antoinette and Melissa; three brothers, Stephen Shedina and his wife, Elizabeth, of Knox, Roman Przysiecki and his wife, Rose, of Knox and William Przysiecki and his wife, Ruth, of Schoharie; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home at 199 Main St. in Altamont. Relatives and friends may call today (Thursday) from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Knox Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gallupville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Gallupville, NY 12073.
