Birth
Eliakim Williams was born on July 13, 1766 at Stonington, New London Co., CT, a son of Nathaniel Williams and Abigail Eldredge[1] .
Marriage & Children
He married in about 1790, Mary (Polly) Denison who was born at about 1768 at Stonington, CT. [1] The names or the number of children they had is unknown.
Polly died and Eliakim married secondly Hannah Wolf at about 1822. They had no known children of their own[1], but they adoped a son:
- Eliakim Chesebrough, very likely the son of Eliakim’s sister, Abigail and Christopher Chesebro
Death
Eliakim’s first wife, Polly, died on April 25, 1821 and was buried in the family burial ground on their property. Eliakim died on March 11, 1827[1] and is buried beside her.
