Adam Saddlemire was born on October 9, 1780 in what is now Knox, a son of Johannes Saddlemire and Ursula Lipe Saddlemire.[1]

He was a farmer

He married at about 1803, Elizabeth Lipe who was born on March 16, 1781, a daughter of Johannes Lipe and Elizabeth Young[1]. They had the following known children:
- Eva Saddlemire b. November 5, 1805[1] m. Aaron Groat
- George Saddlemire b. after 1805[1] not mentioned in Adam’s will
- Evan Saddlemire b. after 1805[1] not mentioned in Adam’s will
- John A. Saddlemire b. October 25, 1807 m. Phebe Hilliard[1]
- Christina Saddlemire b. January 31, 1810 m. Charles Saddlemire[1]
- Mary Elizabeth Saddlemire b. March 8, 1812 m. David Ecker[1]

Death
Adam died between February 13, 1860 and August 31, 1863.
