Everett Cook, 75, died at his home in Oak Hill Saturday May 28, 1966. He was born in Schoharie County Oct. 25th 1890, son of the late Eben and Betsy Decker Cook. Funeral services were held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, May 31, at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial was in the Potter Hollow Cemetery. The Reverand Francis Rivenburg of the Susquehanna Methodist Church, Durham, officiated. Survivors are his widow, the former Florence Rivenburg; one daughter, Mrs. Roberta Tallman of Oak Hill; two sons, Donald and Carl Cook of Schenectady; one sister Mrs. Edna VanDerWerker of Altamont; two brothers, Arthur and Bayard Cook of Preston Hollow; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Birth

Everett Cook was born on October 25, 1890, in Preston Hollow, to Eben J. Cook and Betsy Decker.

Occupation

He was a farmer.

Marriage & Children

On November 15, 1913, Everett married Florence Elnora Rivenburg, in Oak Hill, Greene County. She was a daughter of James Rivenburg and Charlotte Hillicoss. They had three children:

  • Roberta Mae Cook (1914-1988)
  • Donald James Cook (1917-1921)
  • Carl Everett Cook (1919-1981)

Death

Everett died May 28, 1966, in Oak Hill at 75 years of age. He was buried in Potters Hollow Rural Cemetery in Potter Hollow.
