DORMANSVILLE — Harold "Harvey" Lounsbury 64, of Lobdell Mill Road, died suddenly. Nov. 25 , at St. Peter's Hospital.
Mr. Lounsbury, often known as Harvey, was born Sept. 12, 1934 into a large family in Dormansville, son of Lena and Theodore Lounsbury. He attended a one-room school in Dormansville and lived there his entire life. He was a heavy-equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local 106 in Albany. He was a former member of the Westerlo Volunteer Fire Co., and, in his early days, a well-known Softball player.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Orlup Lounsbury; three sons, Todd Lounsbury of Duanesburg and Scott and Rod Lounsbury of Westerlo; five sisters — Harriet Peck, Marjorie White, Janice Lounsbury, Betty Jean Mueller, and Sandra Ross; eight brothers — Clifton (Lloyd), John, Patrick, Dennis, Terrance, Roger, Thomas, and William Lounsbury; and several nieces and nephews.
A sister, Janet Berkhoffer; and two brothers Theodore and Clyde Lounsbury are deceased.
Services were Sunday at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Greenville.
Cremation was at Albany Rural Cemetery.
