Marion J. Filkins was born August 22, 1895, the daughter of Fred H. Filkins, Sr. and Josephine Osterhout Filkins. He brothers and sisters were:

Obituary
MARION SCHULER
Funeral services were conducted from St. John's Lutheran Church in East Berne last Saturday morning for Marion Schuler and interment was in the South Berne Cemetery.
Born August 22, 1895, Marion J. Filkins was the daughter of Fred H. Filkins, Sr. and Josephine Osterhout Filkins. She conducted a boarding house for several years and on March 7, 1933 she was married to Henry Schuler who passed away in November 1975. In failing health for several years, Mrs. Schuler spent some time at the Parrotti Adult Home in Township and more recently resided with her grandaughter, Cindy Hayduke, until taken to the hospital March 21,1983 where she died later that evening.
She was an active and dedicated member of St. John's Lutheran Church in East Berne, a charter member of the Berne Ladies Fire Auxiliary, and a 50 year member of Uhai Chapter No. 803 OES who conducted a memorial service at the Fredendall Funeral Home Thursday evening.
She was survived by her daughter, Mrs. Theodore (MaryLou) Pitcher of East Berne; three grandchildren, Mrs. Walter (Cindy) Hayduke and Scott Pitcher of East Berne and Julie Pitcher of Hawaii and one - great-grandson, Devlin Hayduke of East Berne. She was also the sister of Alice Rendo Cleary of Billings, Montana and the late Archie Filkins, Luther Filkins, F. Hazel Filkins, Jr. and Mrs. Grace Deitz. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Clyde Filkins of Westerlo, Mrs. Leo (Doris) LeBuis of Berne and DeForest Deitz, Sr. of Berne and Florida.
Memorial gifts were given to St. John's Lutheran Church of East Berne.
