Mr. Bradt was born in Rensselaerville, New York[1] on December 15, 1914.[2]
Marriage and Children
Emmett married Margaret Cooke and had a son Doug R. and daughter Janet M. Bradt.[1]
Occupation
Mr. Bradt was a tank operator in the generator department of the General Electric Co., Schenectady, for 12 years, retiring in 1978.[1]
Military Service
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 397 Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion in Central Europe.[1]
Death
Emmett died Saturday, March 19, 1994, in St. Clare's Hospital, Schenectady, New York after a long illness.[1]
Burial
A service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 1994, in the Baxter Funeral Home, 40 N. Brandywine Ave., Schenectady, with burial in Memory's Garden, Colonie, New York.[1]

Emmett D. Bradt, 79, formerly of Sunset Avenue, died Saturday in St. Clare's Hospital, Schenectady, after a long illness. Mr. Bradt was born in Rensselaerville. He was a lifelong Schenectady area resident. He was a tank operator in the generator department of the General Electric Co., Schenectady, for 12 years, retiring in 1978. Mr. Bradt was a former 32nd-degree mason of the Ballston Spa Masonic Lodge and a former member of the American Legion Post 234, Ballston Spa. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 397 Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion in Central Europe. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Ballston Lake. He was the widower of Margaret Cooke Bradt. Survivors include a son, Doug R. Bradt of Ballston Spa; a daughter, Janet M. Johnson of Sandusky, Ohio; and two grandchildren. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Baxter Funeral Home, 40 N. Brandywine Ave., Schenectady, with burial in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Calling hours are 7-9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Contributions maybe made to the American Diabetes Association, Albany.
